Nashoba Valley Concert Band
The Nashoba Valley Concert Band is based in Shirley, Massachusetts and is made up of musicians from Ayer, Shirley, and 15 other surrounding towns. We are dedicated to the preservation of the town band experience through the performance of traditional and modern concert band music for public enjoyment and music education. We offer local high school students an opportunity to play and perform with an organized group outside of an educational setting.
We are a welcoming group of amateur musicians who rehearse weekly. We are all volunteers, and there are no dues. New members are always welcomed - no audition required.
where we play
The NVCB performs throughout the year at many community events in the region. We appear annually in the Memorial Day observance in Harvard and at Fourth of July parades in Ayer and Harvard. We also perform regularly at bandstand concerts, town events, craft fairs, nursing home events, and more. All performances are free and open to the public.
